From Quilotoa to Chugchilan

From Quilotoa to Chuigchilan we cycled in the most beautiful road so far, a dirt track going through a landscape that was just awe inspiring: deep canyons and the lushest of vegetation. At the turn of each curve in the road the most amazing views, deep ravines with trees on top, indigenous houses, the ever present children going home from school, one bus taking the villagers home, ewes with their lambs. This place is just amazing, the whole of life is just happening in front of your eyes!

We arrived at Chugchilan and settled into the hostal by testing out the hamacs in the balcony - we both had that wonderful tired-contented feeling, specially after having been warmed up by a really tasty banana soup.

Mmmm ever so comfy!
